I am so saddened by this. Thomas lit up everywhere he went with his sweet smile & kind-hearted laugh. The world seems a little less bright without him. He will be greatly missed.

I am very deeply saddened by this news. I had the pleasure of working with Thomas for 2+ years. He was no doubt one of the smartest individuals I have ever worked with. But his colorful personality is what really defined him. Deepest condolences to his family and close friends on this very sad occasion.

I am so saddened by this terrible news. It's been a long time since we've crossed paths. But it was so great to have had a locker next to you for four years of high school and getting to know you throughout this short time in our lives. You really did know just about everyone and what to do or say to get them laughing. You were smart and so down to earth enabling you to connect with just about anyone from all paths of life.

I went to high school with Thomas and volunteered with him at a camp for kids with cerebral palsy. Everyone could see how well Thomas connected with his buddy, Chris. He was Chris' role model and hero. His memory lives on through the many people he graced with his big heart and kind smile.

I had the pleasure of knowing Thomas since grade school. I was shocked to hear about his passing. He was a truly wonderful person and I am honored to have been able to call him a friend.

I am just brokenhearted to hear about Thomas.  Watching this brilliant and gracious young man grow and learn oil and gas accounting was a delight.  Each time we met in the hallway at Maritech, we had a special handshake to perform and I'd get that big smile of his.  This is such a great loss to all of us who called Thomas our friend.  

To his mother, father and siblings: Thomas spoke of you often with such high regard, and loved and respected you very much.  You raised a great young man and I hope that makes you proud of him and gives you consolation.  We wish you comfort in the days ahead knowing that he is at peace and with his Savior.  May God bless each of you and keep you in His loving arms.

I remember when Thomas started at Carrizo and our first conversation making jokes and laughing about work - he had a great sense of humor and a wonderful smile.  Thomas knew everyone's name and always took the time to ask how they were.  He was so intelligent and graciously helped anyone and everyone (and shared quite a few of his Excel tricks too).  I'll never forget his tremendously caring heart and warming presence with that megawatt smile.  Praying for peace for his family.  Until we meet again, Thomas.

Oh man!  I was definitely shocked to hear the loss of such a good guy.  We spoke a lot about just life and family during my time at Carrizo. Saddens me that he has left us al; with his calming presence and attitude, but I know his wonderful spirit will live on in us all.  I pray I get to see him again one day. May God strengthen his family and friends, and bring the comfort only He can bring.

Thomas is one of the most genuine and gracious souls I have ever had the honor to know. During his time here with us, he made sure everyone had a better day just with his smile and conversations. When I first met Thomas and worked with him at Maritech my first impression of him was true to the end. His broad smile and outgoing personality with so much positive energy. He was truly an inspiration to everyone who knew him. I thought of him often when we all went our different ways. Thomas had the kindest heart and the most wonderful smile. Anytime he came by he always had the biggest smile and made sure to say "Hello Ms. Merry Kay". We had some good laughs about our Christmas Party one year and I choose to remember his sweet personality and graciousness.  My heart goes out to you in this times of grief.

I've had the privilege to work with Thomas since late 2013. Even though we worked in different departments and on different floors, he seemed to know my name long before I knew his. I can't recall any time that we passed in the halls and wasn't greeted with a smile and a hello and acknowledged on a 1st name basis. His big smile brightened up the halls around Carrizo. I pray that the family can find some comfort in the joy that he has brought so many. My prayers are with you all.

When you think of Thomas, the very first thing you see is that huge, wide and welcoming smile.  Anyone that worked with Thomas knows the truth of those words.  He was witty, smart, helpful and encouraging. Thomas always gave more than he received.  He truly was a blessing to his co-workers, as surely he must have been to his family.  We can not measure our loss, but will always think fondly of the time we shared.

I had the honor and pleasure of having Thomas as a part of my life as we worked closely together for the past two years at Carrizo. More than a co-worker, he was my friend. He was bar none the most kind-hearted, caring, and sincere person I've ever known. I always joked with him that there wasn't anyone he didn't know, because he was on a first-name basis with almost every person we walked past in our building and at the gym. I will always cherish the conversations we had during our morning coffee runs and lunchtime trips to the gym, and the good times we had on our New Years trip to Tahoe this past year. I am eternally grateful that we got to know each other on a personal level, and I hope his family can find the strength to get through this difficult time, and peace thereafter. 

TN - just saying that I will miss you would be a monumental understatement. My only hope is that you found your peace, and that Heaven has your caramel macchiatos just the way you like them...and a Chick-fil-a. Although I had only known Thomas a few short years, there was never a day that he didn't have a smile on his face and kindly say hello....he will never be forgotten!  He was brilliant at his job and was always willing to lend and extra hand.  He will be greatly missed and I pray for peace and comfort for his family.

Thomas was a brilliant young man with a great attitude and professionalism. I worked with him from 2009-2010 and kept in touch on and off afterwards. His amiable personality made him very approachable, and he always greeted me with a long handshake and big smile, even if we were just passing each other in the hallway. I had the good fortune to work with Thomas for a brief period of time during 2007 at Maritech Resources.  Thomas came to Maritech as an accounting intern.  I quickly formed a strong personal bond with Thomas and knew instantly that he was a fine young man with a very bright future.  I will always remember that when I left Maritech, Thomas expressed heartfelt sadness to me that we would no longer be working together and he gave me one of his prized personal possessions to wish me good luck in the future.  The loss of such a wonderful young man is a crushing blow to all who knew and loved Thomas.

Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.  Thomas was a ray of sunshine; he will be missed greatly.

Thomas was like a son to me. I trained him to be the best accountant. He reached that level quickly.
I worked with him from his junior year at U of H thru his Masters and into his CPA. He was the type of staff professional that anyone would want. I always said that give me 10 Thomas's and we would be the best oil company accounting department in the world. I am so heart broken that this unfortunate event has happened. I will miss him and pray that he is at peace.
