

Antonio “Tony I.” Soza, 65, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 31, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Victoria Sosa. Tony is survived by his loving wife Minerva “Minnie” Soza; son, Antonio “TJ” Soza Jr.; daughters, Victoria and Steven Miller, Kathleen and Eric Myers, and Elaine Soza and Michael Rosales; and grandchildren, Gage Philpot, Madi Myers, Allison Myers, Isabella Myers, Noah Rosales and Chloe Rosales.
Also left to cherish his memory were sisters, Emma and Ernesto Martinez, Angie and Richard Oliva, Noemi and Augustin Rivera, Elizabeth Sosa, Norma Sosa, Debra and Julian Munoz, Mary and Julian Lopez and Michelle Sosa; brothers George and Peggy Sosa, and Roy and Bethy Sosa; in-laws, Martha and Mario Falcon, John and Aida Betancourt, Joe and Sylvia Betancourt and Jessie and Lou Betancourt. Tony will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Tony Soza was born on January 8, 1951in Roma, Texas. Along with being a very proud husband, father and grandfather, Tony served his country in the United States Air Force. Tony proudly served the Houston Fire Department where he retired after 20 years of dedicated service. He continued his career in construction as an independent contractor. He later passed the family business on to his son, TJ. Tony later began substitute teaching at Stafford M.S.D. Tony will also be remembered as a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.
The family will receive friends for a visitation Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, August 5, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed by a rite of committal in Brookside Memorial Park.
