It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Travis David Brand, who went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2025, at the age of 37. A devoted man of faith, he lived with a deep love for God, radiating kindness, strength, and compassion to all who knew him.
Born in Slidell, Louisiana, on August 29, 1987, he carried the heart of a Cajun—full of warmth, resilience, and a love for good food and family. Though his roots started in Louisiana, Texas became his home, and he was proud to call Spring, Texas, his place of residence. He embraced both cultures, blending the best of both worlds with his Southern charm, big heart, and unwavering love for life.
At 15 years old, Travis began his Christian Walk when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. His faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was baptized in July 2003 at Woodlands Church, marking the beginning of a journey that would shape him into the man he became—a loving son, devoted husband, and steadfast believer. His faith in Christ was evident in everything he did, and it inspired all who were blessed to know him.
A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, he earned his degree in Industrial Distribution in 2011. He was a die-hard Aggie through and through, living by the values of loyalty, integrity, and hard work that the university instilled in him. He was a proud member of the Century Club through Texas A&M and a member of PAID (Professional Association for Industrial Distribution). He wore his Aggie Ring to symbolize camaraderie and dedication, a reminder of his deep bond with his fellow Aggies. Whether he was cheering on the Aggies during football season, never missing a home game, proudly wearing maroon, or sharing stories of his time in College Station, his Aggie spirit was undeniable and everlasting.
In 2011, through work, he met Chelsea, the love of his life and best friend, and that was the beginning of a beautiful love story. When the time came to propose, he did so in true romantic fashion—presenting her with a bottle of wine labeled "Will You Marry Me?" on a boat in Grapevine, Texas. They married in June of 2013 in Tomball, Texas. Those unforgettable moments marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership. For the next 11 years of marriage, he became the Captain—leading their journey together with love, strength, and unwavering devotion. Their bond was a testament to faith, friendship, and true companionship, and their love inspired all who knew them.
Most recently, Travis worked at Valeron as a Strategic Account Manager, achieving great success. His passion, dedication, and professionalism shone brightly in his work, and his colleagues and clients respected him. He took great pride in his career, always striving to provide excellent service and build lasting relationships.
Travis had a deep love for the beach, water, and sunshine. He found joy and peace in the simple beauty of the ocean, often vacationing in Florida or many Caribbean islands with his wife, Chelsea, family, and friends. These special moments spent by the water, basking in the sun, and sharing laughter with those he loved were some of his greatest treasures.
Travis never met a stranger; he had a unique gift for making everyone feel like a close friend. Whether at work, church, or among friends, family, and even complete strangers, his warm spirit and open heart created lasting connections with all who crossed his path.
One of his favorite Bible verses, Philippians 4:13—"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."—was the foundation of his life. He faced every challenge with courage and faith, always trusting in God's plan. His unwavering belief guided his every step, and his legacy of love, generosity, and faithfulness will forever remain in our hearts.
Travis is survived by his loving wife, Chelsea; his parents, Glenna Bowie and Koby Brand, along with their spouses, Pam and Mike; his sisters, Ashley and husband Vince, Stephanie, Christina, and Rachel; his brother, Kaleb; his grandmother, Mary Ann; his parents-in-law, Judy and Larry Owen; his sister-in-law Aimee Abdo and husband Chris; his aunts and uncles, Kathy and Scott Stafford, Terry and Kerry Brand, Karen and Kevin Brand, and Paula Mulvihill.
