Dearest Rachel & Sons (Jeremy, Randy and Joey):
Your husband/dad taught you faith, family unity and volunteerism. He was committed to his family, relatives and friends whenever there was a need and many people thank him for that, including me and my dad. There are many memories and photos that you can cherish with one another now and forever that will bring a smile to your face as time goes on. Have peace in knowing that the Bible says that we as Christians will all be together again. Also, have comfort in knowing that your husband/dad was healed in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ! As he entered heaven, the Lord received him in his arms and the angels rejoiced and gave him his crown and white robe to celebrate at his banquet among all the saints.
"Urbie, thank you for your service to the United States of America!"

On behalf of my mother Alice, my sister Caroline and on my own behalf I want to express our sincere sympathy on the recent death of Urbano RIP. To his wife and family be assured that you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad and difficult time. We got to know Urbano when we visited my aunt Sr.Caroline Flynn in Villa de Matel over the years. The year 2013 particularly comes to mind when Sr.Caroline celebrated her Diamond Jubilee. During that visit Urbano was so kind to us and our friends who visited with us. He brought us on various trips around Houston and one day took us on a wonderful trip to Galveston where incidentally we all enjoyed a lovely picnic together! He was a tremendous tour guide and was so interesting and was always so courteous, friendly and helpful. We can sincerely say that it was a privilege to have met and spent time with Urbano. May his soul Rest-in-Peace. Michael, Alice and Caroline Tobin, Cappoquin, Co.Waterford, Ireland.

My sweet Rachel. Our hearts are aching for you and the boys, and it is only by Divine Providence that I learned of Urbano's passing. I would have been so saddened if this special time had passed, and we would not have reached out to share love with all of you. Urbano was (and you are) the kindest, gentlest spirit a friend could ever ask for. We will never forget the wonderful friendship between our families, and how you were such great mentors to our youngest daughter, Angelique. Last night, Angee shared stories of you and Urbano with her firstborn, Samuel. He comforted her tears as she told him that you both attended his Baptism - and that Sammy now has his own special angel watching over him from Heaven. We will love and miss Urbano, always. May the Heavenly Father Bless and Keep each of you! Anne

God always takes His brightest and best of men early. And Urbano sure was the best and shinned the brightest light. I will miss him so much. Strangely enough, I’m happy to know I will be praying to him. He will look after Rachel and her boys and will intercede for us all. May God’s loving embrace comfort and give the Muniz family strength during this difficult time. Rest In Peace my dear Friend Urbano! You will be greatly missed!

Urbano "Bird " as he was known thru us at the Railroad was an Amazing man. He worked for me during his tenure at the Railroad. We shared the good and the bad. He always had some type of stories to share. We are so sorry about your great loss. God be with you all.

Urbano was the most loving and faithful friend. He willingly shared his love of God, our Heavenly Mother Mary, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Two years ago we were talking before a CCVI Associate meeting about travels. When asked where Teresa and I were going next, I told him up to Breckenridge, Colorado. Urbano’s response was “we might just meet you there”. We were so surprised when Rachel and he called and said they were on their way! What great friends!

I will miss my friend greatly but I know that Jesus is hugging him and saying “Welcome home”.
