Valencia Annette Woodard-Are was born in Southeast Houston, Texas to Carolyn and Lockie Woodard.
She was a loving sister to Terrence, Kimberly, and Carol and a true light to all who knew her.
Over the years, she served in the medical and customer service industries and as an incomparable wife and mother.
Valencia is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ladi Are, and their children, Jazzmine, Ladi Jr., Jordan, Valencia-Adepeju, Kemi, and daughter-in-law, Jasmin.
She loved all colors and all people and led a life that exemplified the power of faith, kindness, and positivity.
