Just found out about Vernon’s passing.I grew up in the neighborhood in Springfield, ill with Vernon and his brothers ( I was closer in age to Eddie, who left us tragically early). Many fond memories of that time, but few of us- if any-are left now.

Vern and I were best friends in Springfield High School and worked together at Eisner's Food Store on South Grand Ave.  The last time I saw Vern was probably in 1955 when I visited him at some Collage or University in St Louis.  We shared a lot of good times.
