

Victoria Garcia, age 96, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 23, 1929, in San Antonio, Texas, Victoria lived a long and vibrant life marked by resilience, love, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Victoria’s greatest joy came from her large and loving family. She was the proud matriarch of nine children: Shirley Jensen, Maria Tristan, Gabriel (Henry) Benavides, Yolanda DeLeon, Eusebio (Andy) Estrada III, Paul Estrada, Lawrence Estrada, and the late Patricia Cruz and Antonia Cerda.
Her legacy continues through her 30 grandchildren: Johnny Torres, Patricia Davidson, Brenda Ostroski, Tina Gonzales, Sara Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales, Monica Tristan, Corinna Alvarado, Consuelo Velez, Oscar Tristan, Louie Herrera, Jennifer Miranda, Ashley Landgrave, Veronica Arispe, Paul Benavides, Angelica Benavides, Rey Benavides, Leonard DeLeon, Ronnie Ochoa, Sasha Williams, Jerry Rangel, Bianca Estrada, Andrea Estrada, Venessa Hernandez, Elizabeth Meza, Lawrence Estrada Jr., Alfonso Estrada, Jonathan Estrada, and Christopher Estrada.

Victoria was known for her witty and feisty personality. Her strength and determination were matched only by her kindness and generosity. She had a remarkable ability to bring people together with warmth and humor. Whether offering a listening ear or sharing a heartfelt laugh, she made those around her feel seen and cherished.
Traveling the world brought Victoria immense joy. Her adventures reflected her spirited nature and curiosity about life beyond borders. These journeys enriched not only her own experiences but also the stories she shared with loved ones. Stories that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luz Gutierrez and Basilio Moreno; siblings Guadalupe Galindo, Carlotta (Shirley) Soria, Lucille Hartwell and Fernando Moreno; daughters Patricia Cruz and Antonia Cerda; and grandson Jamie Torres. Though they are no longer here in body, their memories live on in the hearts of those who remain.
Victoria is survived by her brother David Moreno; children Shirley Jensen, Maria Tristan, Gabriel (Henry) Benavides, Yolanda DeLeon, Eusebio (Andy) Estrada III, Paul Estrada, and Lawrence Estrada; along with a vast extended family who will carry forward her legacy of love.
