She met Donnie in Houston, Texas and married on September 18, 1976. Vinita graduated magna cum laude from Forest Brook High School in 1974. She then completed two years at the University of Houston. She worked for over 20 years in the oil and gas industry and retired in 2014 as a lease analyst. Vinita had a colorful and vivacious spirit, and she never met a stranger. She had a generous heart and never hesitated to help someone in need. Vinita loved sewing, crafting, and traveling but her favorite pastime was being a grandmother and spoiling her three granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donnie Dennis; parents, Frank and Emma Arceneaux; brother, Raymond Arceneaux Sr.
Vinita is survived by daughters, Angela Dennis and Donnita Walker (Nigel); granddaughters, Maya Walker, Layla Walker, and Chloe Walker; siblings, Charletta Clayton and Lawrence Arceneaux.
Serving as pallbearers are Nigel Walker, Howard Hines, Wesley Arceneaux Jr., and Gary Clayton.
