Virginia Castillo

Virginia Miranda Castillo, 92, of Houston Texas, went to heaven on August 17th, 2013. She was born on June 16th, 1921 in Beaumont, Texas to Mauricio and Elodia Moreno. She married Raymond Castillo on July 3rd, 1948 and they were married for 65 years.

Virginia was a retired homemaker who enjoyed going fishing and frequent visits to the casinos, and spending time with friends , family and especially her grandchildren. She was loving and one of a kind! She is preceded in death by her daughter Petra Castillo and grand daughter Laurie Marie Castillo, grandson, Brandon Hargrove, and four sisters, Judy Morgan, Mary Arrendo, Olivia Mirales and Antonia Rojas.

Virginia is survived by her husband Raymond Castillo and her five sisters..Janie Lucas, Delia Gonzales, Mary Helen Stanley, Delores Martinez and Josephine Garcia.Virginia is also survived by her six children...Raymond Castillo and wife Mercie ,Roland Castillo and wife Margaret, Gloria Hargrove and husband Bill, Rudy Castillo and wife Lisa, Robert John Castillo and David Castillo. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Ricky Castillo, Jo Ellen Castillo, Angie Lopez, Tina DesHotel, Jason Castillo, Justin Castillo, Michael Castillo, Aaron Castillo, Jordan Castillo, Christopher Reinauer, Emily Sload, William Hargrove III, and Valerie Jean Hargrove. Virginia is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren Andrea, Melina, Mirae, Natalie, Devon, Hanna, David, Justin, Kaiden, Peitynn, Kylee, Chris, Aaliyah, Cash, Abel, and Roslyn.

Visitation will be held Wednesday August 21st from 5 to 8pm, with a rosary at 6:30pm, at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, 281-445-0050. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11am at American Hertiage and the burial at Houston National Cemetary, where she will be laid to rest at 12:30pm.
