Born in the Philippines to Felomino and Placida Matildo, she was the second of four children (Lauro, Virginia, Thelma, Rebecca). She was a school teacher and was the last surviving family member.
She married Estanislao (Stan) Ontoy, Jr in 1966 and had three sons (Harwell - Ruth, Hannah), Darrell (Ernita - Darren, Dylan, Dean), and Jezrell (Tet - Jeriel/Carmel, Jalen/Jenna, Jezrell Jr.).
She emigrated to the United States in 1976 with her family to New York City and moved to Houston Texas in 1978. She is survived by her husband Stan, her sons, and her Magnificent 7.
Virgie loved to share the good news of Jesus Christ and was an encourager to many.
A visitation for Virginia will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a committal service.
