

Wanda Marie Taylor passed away peacefully at her home in Houston, Texas. She was born and raised in Arkansas City, Kansas. She married Billie Taylor on November 15, 1943, and they resided in Houston, Texas, raising 4 children. After retiring, Billie and Wanda moved to Cleveland, Texas. Years after Billie passed away, Wanda moved to Houston to live contentedly with her daughter, Sharon Curbow.
Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Moses Kendrick, and her mother, Ann Eliza Moore. She is survived by her 4 loving children: Sharon Curbow, Gerald Taylor, Sue Bass, and Lonnie Taylor. The grandchildren include: Chris Curbow, Michael Taylor, Stephen Taylor, Kim Stubblefield, Shelly Barott, Tonya Edgett, Wendy Easterling, Jeff Taylor, and Jason Taylor. She has 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Wanda was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Cleveland, Texas. She attended Champion Forest Baptist Church while residing in Houston. Her faith sustained her throughout her life.
Known by her family and friends as one of the most patient, generous, and loving individuals they had ever met, she said, “It is not a good day unless I can do something for another person.” Her signature laugh and cheerful, positive disposition will always be remembered.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5PM-8PM, Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:30AM, Friday, September 26, 2014. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
