

Wayne Stephens, 75, passed away February 18, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Fay; son, Gregg Stephens and wife, Tracy; daughter, Michele Stephens; grandchildren: Stephanie Blythe, Anthony Cain, Ashley, Taylor, and Nicholas Stephens; great grandchildren: Bradley Lujan, Abigail Blythe and near future, Fay Blythe; along with many other close relatives and friends. Wayne served his country admirably in the Army as a member of the peace keeping force in Germany in the 60’s. He was President of Quality Fasteners. Wayne and his wife, Fay, attended the Champions Church of Christ and is well known as the “Donut Man” from Bammel Road. He served as a Deacon at the Hidden Valley and 249 congregations. He enjoyed fishing with family, collecting clocks, carpentry and bird house making with friends. Wayne and Fay just celebrated 55 years of marriage. He should be remembered as being generous and giving. He helped people with medical and dental finances, college funds, transportation, supplies for animal shelters, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, individual aid to victims of Katrina and Allison, many children’s sports leagues and too many individual gifts to people in need to enumerate. Celebrate his life and practice “pass it on”, help someone in need. The family will receive friends from 5-8PM on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Brookside Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Champions Church of Christ, 13902 Cutten Road, Houston, Texas 77069. A Graveside Services will be held at 3PM on Saturday, February, 22, 2014 in Brookside Memorial Park.
