

He was born on March 23, 1932, in Fujian Province, China, growing up in Southern China and Taiwan. He graduated from National Cheng Kung University and Oklahoma State University, subsequently working as a civil engineer and then in real estate.
He is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Shin Min Lin, and survived by his children, David, Albert, and Martin, and grandchildren Madison and Morgan. He is also survived by sister Wei Cheng Lin and brother Wei Sheng Lin, and their children.
The family would like to thank Pauline Taholo for the care and compassion she showed him over the years and in his final days.
Family and friends attended a visitation and service at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:30 AM PT. Family and friends are invited to attend an additional service to be held at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM CT, with interment to follow at 11:00 AM CT. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 AM CT.
