Wendy Eileen Rogers

Wendy Rogers, 76, of Magnolia Texas, passed away at home surrounded by her family on May 6, 2025. She was born in Houston, Texas on September 30, 1948 to parents Preston F. Propes and Birdie L. Propes.

Wendy graduated from Aldine high school in 1966. She became a mother to her daughter, Tanis Renee on March 18, 1972, and to her beloved son Jeffrey Laroy on January 9, 1976. Wendy was a single mother who worked tirelessly and selflessly to raise her children throughout happy and sad times. Wendy worked for Chase Bank for many years before retiring in the early 2000s. She enjoyed reading books and could often be found with a book within reach. She loved watching tennis and spending time with her grandchildren and her great granddaughter, and watching shows about crime.

She was preceded in death by her parents Preston and Birdie Propes, her son Jeffery Rogers, her brother and sister-in-law Sam and Dorothy Propes. She is survived by her daughter Tanis Cantwell, grandchildren Ashley and Moe Linen, Jeffrey and Alexandra Cantwell, Taylor and Gary Layton-Cantwell, great granddaughter Emberly Mae Cantwell, and her siblings Terri Propes, Stephen and Francine Propes.

Wendy was a treasured Mom, Grammie, Sister and Friend. A celebration of life service will take place at 11 am Tuesday May 13, 2025 at Brookside Memorial Funeral Home.
