

Buddy was known for his kind, loving, and gentle nature.
Buddy is survived by his daughters: Patricia Witt and her spouse, Roy Witt Jr; Sheila Walton and her partner, Jonte Jackson; and Tracey Walton; his son: Thomas Scroggins and his partner, Jessica Gatlin; his grandsons: Austin Witt and his spouse, Rebekah Witt; Christopher Michels; and Colton Scroggins; his granddaughters: Caitlyn Price; and Shyanne Friese; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends; and his beloved dog, Max.
Buddy was preceded in death by his wife: Jackie Walton; his father: Herbert Walton, his mother: Susie Josephine Pollock, and his brothers: Charles Walton and Billy Walton, who are surely sharing laughs and stories with him now.
He attended Mexia High School where his proudest moment was being Captain of the basketball team. Buddy earned a full scholarship in basketball and later pursued his higher education at Navarro Jr College.
Buddy proudly served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966, earning the rank of Sergeant. He received medals for Good Conduct and Expert Rifleman.
Buddy married Jackie, the love of his life, in 1966. They were married for over 50 years at the time of her death in 2017.
He had a fulfilling career as a Heat Treater/Supervisor for Cameron Iron Works/Wyman Gordon from 1961 to 2002. In 2002, he retired from his profession.
Buddy enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, gardening, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
He cherished his family and his roles as Daddy and PawPaw.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Amy Taylor for her long-standing love, support, and care she has given to both our father and mother over nearly a decade.
A Celebration of Life for Buddy will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10am, following with an inurnment at 11am, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Brookside Memorial Park.
