William Parker Allen

William (Bill) Parker Allen, age 90, of Houston, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. Bill was born July 1,1930 in Beaumont, Texas to parents Sheldon Grant and Clara Ann Allen. He graduated from Drew Central High School in Monticello, Arkansas. After graduation he married the love of his life, Mildred Imogene Pace and raise three daughters in Bellaire, Texas.

Bill retired from Cookbook Bread in 1976. In his later years he enjoyed driving a school bus for Fort Bend ISD. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Missouri City.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mildred Imogene Pace Allen. As well as his parents, Sheldon and Clara Allen and three sisters Martha and her husband Owen Maddox, Betty Ruth and husband Danny Ureke, and Clarice and her husband Bob Griffis.

He is survived by his daughters, Jean and her husband Steve Dickerson of Longview, Texas, Cynthia Allen Bongio of Meadows Place, Texas, Susan Allen Norton of Houston, Texas, and his favorite cousin Sylvia Barron of Highlands, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren Erin and husband Mark Gaston, Sara and husband Joe Cowling, Katy and husband David Corbon, Robert Bongio Jr., William Bongio and wife Shiela, Kimberly and husband Kris Whitton, Kayla and husband Josh Gonzales, Nicole Norton, and Charles Norton. He also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park located at 2454 S. Dairy Ashford Rd, Houston, Texas 77077.
