William Franklin Hinds

William Franklin “Bill” Hinds, 86, passed from this life on Monday, June 28, 2010. He was born on January 8, 1924 in Roans Prairie, Texas, one of seven children born to Henry Lafayette Hinds and Alma Earl Blair Hinds. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lelia and five of his brothers and sisters.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a true friend to many, Bill is leaving us with many wonderful memories to cherish forever.

He is survived by his sister, Eldora Buffum, his two sons, Eldon Hinds and wife Mickie, and Richard Hinds, and his daughter, Linda Rudolph of Houston; grandchildren, Dr. Samantha Hinds-Campa and husband Dean, Heather L. Harrell and husband Steven, Alicia Hinds, Dr. Michael Newman and wife Wendy, and Greg Newman; and five great-grandchildren, Alec and Mabyn Campa, Eli and Teddy Harrell and McKenna Newman; along with a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating Bill’s life will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 15015 Memorial Dr. with receiving time one hour prior.
