

William Eliu Martinez, 66, of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 21st of 2026. He was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador on April 11, 1959 to the parents Rosa Maria Pleitez and Simon Monterrosa. William graduated from Colegio Nuevo Liceo Centroamericano in El Salvador and received a Bachelor’s degree of business. In 1980, he immigrated to the United States furthering his studies in business administration and real estate in Queens, New York. Supported with the mighty hand of God and his knowledge in business, he opened Santa Ana Bodyshop in Houston, Texas and successfully maintained his business opened until he sold it in 1996 and returned to El Salvador where he pursued a political career serving as a delegate/ congressman from 2000-2003. His final years were spent in the United States where he was granted the opportunity to expand his education in theology through the Institute of International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
His last conscious words were uttered with much sincerity as a reply to his brother in law/ Pastor. “You know we love you William,” the Pastor said. “I love you too”, replied William and soon after he was called to Glory by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is preceded in death by Rosa Maria Pleitez, (mother) and Juan M. Pleitez (brother).
He is survived by Simon P. Monterrosa, (father), William Martinez (son), Mildred Luz (daughter), Walter Saldivar (son), Rosemary Martinez (daughter), Diana Martinez (daughter).
Serving as pallbearers are William Martinez, Isaac B. Sovero, Jeremiah Pleitez, Oscar Pleitez, Moses Pleitez, and Mario Pleitez.
