

He was preceded in death by the love of his life and devoted wife of 62 years, Ruby Lee Paulson; his daughters, Terri Holik and Susan Paulson; son in law Tom Holik, daughter in law Katherine Paulson and his grandson, Kenneth Williamson. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.
William is survived by his loving family, including his son Richard Paulson and his wife, Susan Budge; his daughter Tanya Dickson; and his cherished grandchildren: Toni Holik, Tamara Dadarria, Jessica Powell and her husband Bradley, Amanda Williamson, William Dickson and his wife Lexi Villa, Ryan Driskill and his wife Morgan, and William Budge. He also leaves behind a large and proud legacy of great-grandchildren: Floyd Baker, Britney Ford, Justin Ford, Jordan Dadarria, Michael Dadarria, Gavin Hyden, Haley Hyden, Hannah Powell, Kameron Hyden, Brixon Powell, Ryan Driskill Jr., Dakota Dickson, Madison Driskill William Dickson Jr., Levi Dickson, Oakley Dickson, Mackenzie Driskill, Kaylee Dickson, as well as ten great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
William honorably served his country in the United States Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant (E-8) after dedicated tours in both Korea and Vietnam. His service reflected the quiet strength, discipline, and commitment that defined his life.
William found happiness in the simple pleasures, cheering on the Houston Astros and Texans, sharing stories, and spending time with those he loved most. Above all else, his family was his greatest pride and the center of his world.
Funeral services will be held on February 24, 2026, at Brookside Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., with a graveside service at 11:30 a.m.
William will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to family, and the long, meaningful life he lived. His legacy lives on in the generations who carry his name, his stories, and his love forward.
