

William Floyd Pennie Sr went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 24, 2017. William is predeceded in death by his mother Lois Pennie and father Henry W. Pennie Sr and siblings Annette Jackson and Charles Pennie, Sr. He is survived by his wife Kim Lin Pennie; his son, William Floyd Pennie Jr and wife Amy Pennie; his grand kids: Quintessa Pennie and William Niko Pennie; siblings: Benda S. Hines Pennie, Henry W. Pennie Jr. & wife Naomi, Clarence Pennie & wife Dallareese, Barbara PJ. Pennie, OQuinn Evans & husband Lloyd, Anni L. Pennie, Vera F. Taylor, Richard E. Pennie and numerous nieces and nephews.
William was born in Brenham Texas in 1932. He served 22 years of his life for the United States Army, participating in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War, where he met his beautiful wife of 44 years, Kim Lin Pennie . After retiring from the military in 1973, he then lived in Houston and became a Houston business owner. William’s attention to detail was legendary and had the ability to give great advice, because he would "tell it like it is."
He will be missed and leaves us in rich memories.
William Floyd Pennie Sr.'s Celebration of Life will be held at the Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will be Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home with the interment in Brookside Memorial Park immediately after the service.
