William Michael Shaw

William “Willy” Michael Shaw, age 22, of Houston, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on February 19, 1991 in Houston to John and Mary Bullock Shaw. William graduated from Cypress Creek High School’s Class of 2010.

William began racing cars at the young age of six years old. His parents would like to recognize and give special thanks to Sonny Hunt for all of his involvement throughout William’s life and for William’s dedication and love of racing. William was an avid sports fan who supported his home teams of the Houston Texans and the Houston Rockets. He even named his dog “Barkley” whom he loved dearly, after Charles Barkley, formerly of the Rockets team. William had several hobbies, some of which included racing and fishing.

William was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Samuel Walter Bullock and William Laverne Shaw. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Mary Shaw; his brother, Lewis Haden Martin, IV; his grandmothers, Glo Marilyn Bullock and Marieanne Shaw; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lewis Haden Martin, IV, Gavin Zaruba, Chase Zaruba, Sammy Bullock, Chris Bullock, Matthew Bullock, Bret Seden and Bert Seden.

William’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Milestone Management, the Bullock family, Pattye and James Kowis, Jerry and Susan Whitehorn, the Zaruba Family and all those that have been supportive through such a difficult time.
