My love for my wife and children shall never die. If possible, I will be with them and live in their memories. I would have chosen a celebration wake, with beer, whiskey and wine, tall tales and happy tears. For you to have a glass of your favorite drink in my memory would be quite appropriate. I loved life intensely and do not want to be here stone cold before you; however, this is the final act of life. It is what it is. Been there done that. As of this writing the only thing I wish is to live a healthy normal life to anything over 101 years old.
I believe I lived life, "my way." I am boisterously happy with whiskey and beer-belly taste, meeting every chal¬lenge with a fight and having fun doing it. I have always cherished the love of my unreplaceable wife and my children, and open, honest relationships with an array of good friends. The best things that ever happened to me were my marriage to Aline and my children (all boys), then came the transformation from an employee to employer with the freedom to determine my own destiny.
My life was a wonderful experience and a beautiful challenge. I have vacationed the world, not only the popular places like London, Paris, and Rome but also less popular places like the Czech Republic, Thailand, India to see the Taj Mahal, and Turkey to walk in the ancient Biblical city of Ephesus as well as Hawaii and thirty nine of the forty-eight contiguous United States.
My advice for a happy life is to disregard minor discrepancies or disagreements, have respect and incorruptible love for your family, and vacation within, at most, every three years. Perform acts of kindness to the unfortunate be it unsolicited or unexpected. Weep not for me, for I am resting in the bosom of my father and he shall protect me from all that is evil and "I shall dwell in the house of the lord forever" back to God with dignity.
In God’s care I leave my wife Aline and sons, Willie North lll CPA (Casandra) Reginald D. North, Eric G. North, Terrill J. North Esq. (Bernice), Eric D. Ford (Tabatha), Michael W. Thielking (Irene): three grandchildren Tennyle, William IV, Adjoa Blessing: one great grandson, William V; my siblings, Hester P. Andress (7/40-8/97) (Lawrence), Carolyn Marshall (James), Jeanette Gardner (Jesse) Sondria North, Henry North PhD. (Ruth), Stanley North (Allison), Gary North (7/52-10/20) Cherry Smith (Donald Ray), many nieces and nephews, and many other dear relatives and friends.
I have been everywhere everyone wants to go. I have seen everything everyone needs to see. I have done everything most everyone wants to do, and I know everything most everyone needs to know. I envy no one. I leave my love for everyone and any happiness I may have added to anyone’s life. I enjoyed this world and most of its comforts. Peace be with you.
