Willie V Ortega Jr.

Willie V. Ortega, Jr., 65, passed peacefully surrounded by family on March 17, 2019 in Pearland, TX. He was born June 30, 1953 in Houston, TX. Willie served in the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He had a passion for fishing and hunting. He loved to play baseball, softball, and tennis. Willie is also known for being an avid boxing fan. He took pride in being a devoted father to his two boys, father in law, and PoPo to his two grandchildren, Dominic and Libby. Willie has joined his wife Linda in eternal life and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Willie is preceded in death by his wife: Linda Ortega; siblings: Delores Ortega and Larry Ortega; sister-in-law Rosie Ortega. Left to cherish his memory, children: Larry Ortega and wife Victoria, Michael Ortega; grandchildren: Dominic Ortega and Libby Ortega; siblings: Hortencia Ortega, Gilbert Ortega, Abel Ortega, and Mark Ortega.

Visitation for family and friends will begin on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 6pm to 9pm with the funeral service beginning at 2:30pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, TX 77039. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
