Willie Washington was born on February 14, 1963, to Pearline Smith and Pastor Edmond Blouin in Houston, Texas. Willie accepted Christ at an early age at Northside Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Robert Staggers. His educational years were spent attending schools in Houston ISD and North Forest ISD.
Willie dedicated many years of service to TS Construction. He was always good with his hands and displayed a wonderful knack for being able to do whatever he set his mind to until his health failed him. Willie was a devoted and loving partner to Debra Williams for over 20 years.
As we celebrate the life and legacy of Willie, we reflect on God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, nor the sun without rain. But he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Willie was preceded in death by his grandparents Allie V. Holiday, Booker T. Washington, Edmund Blouin Sr. and Louvenia Blouin, mother-in-love Mary Lea Blouin, father-in-love Theodore Smith, uncles Emile Norman, Anthony James Thomas, Jean Earl Washington, and Booker T. Washington Jr., brothers Kara June Davis, and Robert Blouin.
Willie leaves cherished memories with mother Pearline Smith and father Pastor Edmond Blouin; daughter Brittany Broussard; brother Rodney Blouin; sisters Glenda Louise Scott and Maxie Beard; aunts Gertha Horn (George), Claudine Norman, Mary Warren (Lloyd), Cathy Taylor, Threase Washington, Angie Lopez Olseen and Ann Marie Thomas; a wealth of cousins and other extended family and friends.
