Willie James Washington was born on March 12, 1945 to George Washington Sr. and Ester
Petite Washington. His humble beginnings would take place in Natchitoches, Louisiana as the
second of ten children.
At an early age, Willie accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at St. Paul
Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. P. M. Gillie. He attended Cammax Elementary and
Natchez School.
Willie relocated to Houston, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Carolyn Stewart

was promoted to Foreman and worked there for over 40 plus years, where he later retired from
there in 2006. Later in life, he became an active member of New Mount Calvary -
The Evolution Church, where he remained until his homegoing.
Willie was a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking man. Rain,
sleet or snow-nothing could stop him from working and providing for his
family. He was deeply respected and known for his kindness, generosity
and willingness to lend a helping hand.
