

Winston Shelby Buster, Jr., age 84, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 21, 2010 in Houston, TX. A 1942 graduate of San Jacinto High School, at age 17, Winston joined the Navy and served his country during WW II as a cryptologist on the USS Essex and USS Enterprise. He graduated from the University of Houston and was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Winston owned and operated Allen Printing Company, until his retirement in 1988. An avid golfer, Winston enjoyed his membership at Champions Golf Club. His wife, children and grandchildren were his greatest passion in life. He will always be remembered for his integrity, unconditional love and fighting spirit. Preceded in death by his parents, Winston is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley; son: Winston Shelby Buster, III; daughters: Dana Boyd and husband Steve, Debbie Kanaly and husband Jeff; grandchildren: Winston Taylor Boyd, Jeffrey Chase Kanaly, Marla Renee Boyd, and Morgan Lee Kanaly. Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. with a 10:00 a.m. Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in the chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
