Winston is survived by his 3 sons, Matthew, Mark and Luke; his sisters, Arlene Chang (husband Yi-Han), Eleanor (deceased) and Sandra; his brother, Clinton, his daughter-in-law's Kelly Wong and Douniazed Wong; his 5 grand kids, Zayne, Soraya, Griffin, Aiden and Ava; his ex-wife Annette; and many close relatives and friends.
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Winston was the son of Milton (deceased) and May Wong (deceased). He spent his first 35 years living in Jamaica. In his early days Winston was an avid tennis player, where he won several prestigious tournaments. He attended Woolmer's High School.
After Woolmer's, Winston helped his father run his growing import/export business. Winston's focus, vision and determination lead him to become a very successful business man. Winston built many close and cherished friendships throughout his life. In 1977, Winston moved his family from Kingston to Miami where he continued his successful business.
Winston, had a tremendous passion for tennis and had the opportunity to attend many major tournaments. He loved his family above anything else and was the epitome of a true provider. He enjoyed many weekends at Turtle Towers Beach Club with his family. Many hours of joy and laughter were spent playing mahjong with close friends. Traveling was another passion Winston enjoyed. He had the opportunity to travel and experience many countries around the world. Italy being on of his favorites.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 5pm to 9pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 10am in the Chapel of the funeral home. Immediately following the service Winston will be laid to rest in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
