

YETT LIN GEE, longtime Houston resident, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2015 at the age of 87. Yett was born on April 1, 1927, in Ruleville, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, Yett proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and then went back to complete his education from Mississippi State University. Yett graduated in 1950 and spent the majority of his career practicing civil engineering at notable companies in Houston. He retired from Dow Chemical Company in 1989. Yett was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Gee, brothers Happy Gee and Yeun Gee, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Gee. He is survived by daughters: Carol Gee Gaw and husband, William; Debra Anne Yeang and husband, Sherman; Barbara Joy Joe and husband, Richard; and Angela Kay Bell and husband, Edward; grandchildren: Jonathan Gaw, Rebecca Gaw, Andrew Yeang, Brian Yeang, Connor Yeang, Dylan Yeang, Kelsey Joe, Nicholas Joe, Emily Bell, and Adam Bell; brothers: Wing Gee, Gon Gee, Chung Gee, and Starr Gee; sister :Freeda Lee; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive family members and friends on Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer, Houston, Texas 77077. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Chinese Baptist Church, 900 Brogden, Houston, Texas 77024 with Reverend George Lim officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mr. Gee’s name to Chinese Baptist Church. “I am the resurrection and the life.
