Yvonne was born in the great state of Texas to William and Estrella Kean. Her father was stationed at the Naval Air Facility in Corpus Christi. Soon after her birth, the family moved back to her father’s hometown, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Yvonne’s accomplishments while growing up were many, including winning awards as a concert pianist. Her three beloved children, Mark, Crystle, and Joey, were born in Batton Rouge, and each one made her a proud Mother.
After moving back to Texas, she met and married the love of her life, Thomas Ticer, who she affectionally referred to as Tommy. He loved and adopted her two daughters, Crystle, and Joey as soon as possible, making a complete family.
Yvonne loved Jesus and devoted her life to serving Him. She also loved people and never met a stranger. Yvonne and Thomas regularly opened their home to minister to all who needed compassion and respect. Yvonne served in her later years at Encourager Church of Houston as a Healing Rooms Minister touching many lives with the love of Christ.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Ticer, and her children, Mark Maggio (Charlene), Crystle Perry (Dale), Joey Eaves (Donnie), and her two cocker spaniel fur babies, Julie Anne and Annie Belle.
Yvonne leaves a legacy of faith to her grandchildren, Erica, Whitney, Samuel, Elizabeth, Bryan, Phillip, and Emily. She also has 14 great-grandchildren and another on the way. Her testimony in Christ will live on through them in Jesus’ name.
Yvonne was blessed with dreams and visions. The Lord was preparing her to come home for some time, and she finished her race well.
A celebration of life for Yvonne will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, followed by a committal service from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM.
