Zack was born on the 14th of June 1993, in Houston, to Bill and Kim Arnold. He was the younger brother to Billy and Jacob. At a young age, the family moved abroad, inspiring Zack’s love of traveling the world and embracing people of all walks of life.
The family returned to Houston where Zack graduated from Seven Lakes High School in 2011. Zack was an honor student, was on the wrestling team and played in the marching band drum line. He earned his BBA in MIS – Magna Cum Laude – from the University of Houston Bauer College of Business in December 2019. Zack’s professional career began with Capgemini before moving to Deloitte Consulting, where he was recently promoted to Senior Product Lead. Zack was an active advocate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the business environment.
His motivation “to be the best he could be” extended to Zack’s personal goals, which were just as important as his professional achievements. Zack was an avid runner and completed several marathons. He was the music master of the family, with a broad catalog of music genres as well as a gifted natural musician, playing several instruments and mixing his own music. Zack embodied an adventurous spirit and exhilaration for the outdoors, fishing, tennis, hiking mountains, skiing, and biking.
Zack leaves behind his parents, William Arnold III & Kimberlie Arnold; his brother, William Arnold IV and spouse Lauren; his niece, Elizabeth Arnold and nephew, William Arnold V; his brother, Jacob Arnold and spouse Payton; his grandmothers, Helen Arnold and Jan Bigby; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wayne Bigby and William Arnold Jr.
Most of all, Zack treasured his family, and will be missed beyond measure. We will miss his vibrant smile, funny personality, encouraging spirit and the way he made everyone feel when he entered the room. We will truly never know how many people he impacted, and the world is a better place because he was here.
The family wants to thank the Memorial Herman – Texas Medical Center professionals at the ER and ICU for their compassionate care provided to Zack and their heroic efforts to try and save his life. It was no surprise to learn Zack was a registered organ donor and with his last selfless act, he heroically answered the prayers of five other families.
A celebration for Zack’s brief but beautiful life is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 19th of February, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.
