Bertha Emily "Bert" Fowler passed away on May 4, 2012 in New Port Richey, Florida. She was born on December 25, 1926 in Baltimore City to Herbert & Jesse Schanken. She was a retired Supervisor for the State of Maryland. Bert was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary & Red Hat Society. She loved to travel the world and very much enjoyed her life. She is survived by her loving Nephew Fred(Naomi) & Niece Janet and loving family & friends. She is predeceased by her husband & brother. A visitation will take place on Tuesday from 10:00 - 12:00 and a service of celebration will follow at 12. Burial will be private.
