She was born in Rector, Arkansas on July 15th, 1925. She was married to the Father of her Three Children, John Nyle Thompson, until his passing on November 4th, 1956.
Alma worked for 39 Years at T.V.G. Growers Plant #1 & Plant #7, where she met and married Virgil Paul Callaway.
She was a member of The Moose Lodge and the Modesto Senior Citizens Center on Bodem Street, both in Modesto. She had a True Passion for Life & for Dancing. She Loved Traveling & Camping with Her Family, She was a NASCAR Fan and Her Home on Meta Court meant Everything to Her … She Never Met A Stranger!
Alma was survived by Her 3 Children: John Mack Thompson (Janet), Larry Glen Thompson (Darlene) & Deaney McCutcheon, Her 6 Grandchildren: Sherri Holder (Randy), Jim Thompson, Andy Clinton (Karla), Eric Smith, Jodi Thompson & Kara Bosma (Dan), Her 11 Great Grandchildren and Her 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
Alma was preceded by Her Sisters & Brothers: Wyatt Walker, Tommie Walker, Lillie Bea Cunningham, Robert “Bud” Walker, Ray Walker and Betty Hammon & She is Survived by Her Baby Brother: Barney Walker (Brenda).
Alma Mae Thompson’s Graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 28th, 2019 at 2:00 in the Afternoon, at Lakewood Memorial Park in the Cremation Garden.
