Arlene Rilva Nydahl

SEP 29, 1929 - FEB 9, 2011

Arlene was born on September 29, 1921 to Franklin and Byrd Bernhardt

in Norfolk, Nebraska. She was 1 of 5 children. In the mid 40's she moved

to Salinas, Ca where she met and eventually married Charles Algot Nydahl

on January 15, 1949. They moved to Oakdale, Ca in 1949 where they bought

75 acres and had a dairy from 1949 to 1977. Arlene also worked for Tri Valley

plant 2 from 1962 to 1982.

She then enjoyed retirement spending time with family and friends and

taking many trips. She went to New York, New Orleans, Graceland,

Nebraska and Hawaii to name a few.

Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years,

her sister Dorothy Schaffner and brother Roy Bernhardt of Nebraska.

Arlene is survived by her sister Dolores Batrell of Nebraska, sister Marian Daly

of Santa Clara, son Larry Nydahl of Oakdale, son Ronald Nydahl of Mariposa,

Daughter in Law Kathy Nydahl of Oakdale, numerous Nieces and Nephews,

grandchildren; Jacqueline Nydahl of Modesto, Casey Nydahl of Modesto and

Carrie Nydahl of Oakdale, great grandchildren; Britani Nydahl of Modesto,

Trey Jones of Oakdale and Ty Jones of Oakdale.

A public visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, from 4-8 pm.

The Funeral will be held at Lakewood as well on Saturday, February 19, at 10 am.
