Blanca Gloria Martinez, a woman of remarkable strength and grace, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in El Paso, TX, she moved to California where she was an executive assistant to the president of Teamsters Local 70 for many years. After retirement, she became a catechist at Saint Jude’s Parish in Ceres, CA. She was a loving wife to Hector for nearly 54 years and a devoted and supportive mother to her children, Hector Andres and Frances Marie (Colin). She is survived by her grandchildren, Cameron, Lucas, Presley, and Ophelia, and her siblings, Francisco (Alicia) Chavez, Ruben (Gloria) Chavez and Yolanda (Jim) Taylor, and nieces and nephews, Belinda, Frank, Vanessa, James, Steven, and Lindsay. She is preceded in death by her mother, Francisca “Kika” Chavez. A service will be held at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hughson, CA on June 5, 2025.
