Brenda Joyce Till, lovingly known as "Nana," passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, surrounded by her family in Modesto, California. Born on December 10, 1946, in Oakland, California, Brenda was the heart of our family—a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her personality reflected compassion, patience, and a nurturing spirit that left a lasting, loving influence on those fortunate to know her. Brenda's life was deeply intertwined with that of her beloved husband, Jim Till, who predeceased her on April 21, 2024.
Jim was born on November 28, 1941, in San Mateo, California, to a close-knit family of nine siblings.
Jim was a dedicated father and grandfather he worked hard all his life. He loved Fishing and hunting . He loved to make people laugh. July 15, 2025 would have marked their 58th wedding anniversary.
Their love story, pure and enduring, continues beyond their earthly journey. Though her passing marked a somber moment of farewell, it became a sacred reunion. In her final journey, she joined her great-granddaughter, McKenzie, her sister.
Together, Brenda and Jim built a legacy of love, warmth, and strength that touched everyone they met.
We will forever honor their memory and carry their love in our hearts. Brenda and Jim leave behind their daughters Ruthie Guitron, Tina Parras, and Gina Jennings; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Brenda is preceded in passing by her sister Ruthie; her brother Danny; and her parents Marie Bailey and James Hall.
