Carl Elmo Gragg

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Great-Great-Grandfather.

Carl was born January 16, 1924 in Cushing, Oklahoma and was the oldest of three sons.

He is survived by his youngest brother, Benny Gragg of Modesto. He married his childhood sweetheart,

Stella Day of Cushing, Oklahoma on September 25, 1942. She passed away June 25, 2009 at home.

They would have celebrated their 67th Anniversary on September 25, 2009. He also passed away peacefully at home.

Carl celebrated 50 years belonging to the Masons. He was at the top of the list to receive his 50 year

Scottish Rites pin, but passed away before he could receive it.

Carl leaves three daughters, Carleeta Jenson of Oregon, Evie Gragg and Vickie DelRe and her husband John of Modesto.

He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Carl was a construction worker for many years traveling the western states following his trade. He moved his family to California in 1957 and began work for Gallo Glass Company. He then retired from James River Company of Modesto on January 24, 1986. He enjoyed making wood puzzles and wire puzzles. He loved doing things with his grandsons where it be teaching them or having them over for campouts on the river.
