I have been wondering, what happened to my dear friend Carmie. I had a lot of wonderful memories with her. She used to say I was the daughter she never had. I send my condolences to her family.

I will dearly miss my Aunt Carmie. I am her niece Ashley and I wanted to make sure my Aunt Carmie gets the recognition she absolutely deserves as she was an amazing person with an impressively strong will. A few years ago we were asked to take over caring for her as her relatives left and she stayed in California where we were her only family. We didn't know her all that well but when family asks for help, you help. This would be the most challenging but wonderful few years me and my sister would spend with my Aunt Carmie. We would come by and bring her the things she needed and wanted and made sure she wasn't alone. She will never be that way again as she is always in our hearts and now with her God. Over the years we got to know her for her spitfire personality and her style. She definitely showed us her strong and opinionated Italian side but we admired that she was so bold and didn't care what people thought about it. She loved Andy Griffith, Disney, Hello Kitty and the color pink, and her favorite food was chips. She always dressed up, had the cutest clothes, and made every effort to look like a lady. She was one of the strongest people I have ever met, having gone through dialysis for decades and never gave up. I want Carmie to be remembered for the impression she left on us and everyone who met her, she could never be easily forgotten and I know she is in a better place now. She is forever remembered and loved by her nieces (Ashley & Jaclyn Keathley), her sister-in-law (Karen Keathley) and her good friend (Lewetta Gilbert). I love you Aunt Carmie and I will always be thinking of you and missing you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇😇

Carmela and I were high school sweethearts. I will always have just wonderful memories of her and the times we were together.

Carmie was so full of life and enjoyed having a good time! Very caring!  I have very many loving memories  of us having fun as cousins! She was very resilient, having survived many years of dialysis.  Now she's with her parents and nephew Chris in heaven free of pain!
