Mommy I Miss You So Very Much! Yesterday was one year since your passing!  The days leading up to yesterday were very hard remembering you bringing you home from the hospital, your last meal I made for you, putting you to bed the night before, and those bear hugs!  Daddy, Karen and Keith took you flowers, went to brunch and fed the ducks at the Fruit Yard, and later a BBQ some of your favorite foods, all things in your memory!  It was a good day with family remembering you, missing you my dear mother!  I think about you each and everyday!


Those we love, never go away. They walk beside us every day.  Unseen, unheard, but always near.  Still loved and missed in every way.     May Mrs. Cathlene, whom we never had pleasure to meet in person, but known to have been a lovely person, pray she be cuddled in our LORD'S arms.

My sweet sister June,
I remember when we were kids,  June was about 5 years older then me.  June didn't want me around when her friends were around....However it was a different story when I became a teenager and she had gotten married. Her husband would work late and once in awhile they would come get me to spend the night, especially after they had kids. 
I met my first husband at her house.  His sister lived down the street from and my dad was dating his mother.  My sister would feed everyone snacks when we visited and it always made us feel so special.  I was so happy that in the last few years that she had eccepted Christ as her savior and just recently her grandson Jeff baptised her in the swimming pool.  She will be greatly missed! But I'm glad that we will see her again someday when our savior returns again to take us home.

                              Memories of my Mommy

I have so many wonderful memories of my Mom and I would like to share some of them with you today.
I remember when I was a little girl, my Mommy was the best whistler.  She always whistled a tune when she was cooking or cleaning.  She sounded like a beautiful song bird.  She was so talented at it that she was even offered a whistling job on the radio.  She didn't do it but I know she would have been great.  I remember dancing in the family room together, singing and laughing and her whistling.
I remember coming home from school to the aroma of a big pot of beans cooking on the stove.  Oh it smelled so delicious that we couldn't resist eating a big bowl when the beans were only half cooked.  Sometimes I would rush home from school and Mommy would pop up a big bowl of popcorn for us to eat while we watched Dark Shadows.
Mommy always made friends and family feel welcomed in our home.  She would cook up the best comfort food for everyone to enjoy.  There was easy going conversations and laughter and she would have that smile with a twinkle in her eye.
Mommy and I had lot of interests in common.  We would go to garage sales together.  She was a good bargain hunter.  She even taught my son Jeffrey to bargain hunt as well.  He loved it.  We also liked doing crafts and floral arrangements.  We loved shipping together.  Sometimes strangers would ask if we were sisters and we would smile at each other and say yes.  We always enjoyed that.  The there were times when I would shock my Mom with some outlandish statement and she would give me a light slap with the back of her hand on my shoulder and say "Karen" and then she would laugh.
The most precious memories of all seem to be the simplest ones.  Any time I was tired or didn't feel good I would lay my head on a pillow that she always had on her lap and she would rub my back or play with my hair.  I will forever miss her scent, even the scent of that pillow on her lap for it had her scent too.  I will forever miss her touch, her soft skin, her hands, and that twinkle in her eye when she smiled.
Mommy and I have come full circle.  She was there to witness my first breath of life and I was there to witness her last.  
I will forever miss my teacher, my best friend, my Mommy.
I love you Mommy.

My dearest Aunt June
Still hard to believe some days that your no longer with us. So many memories of you. There isn't anyone that could make a person feel more loved and welcomed in their home. I often wondered how you made pizza and popcorn taste so much better than anyone else. You remind me so much of my mother and that is probably why you two were so close, and why your daughters feel such a loss and loved you so much.  I will keep each memory of you close to my heart, they give me much comfort!❤
Now you share Heaven with so many love ones!

My Beautiful Loving Aunt June
I was so blessed to have been able to call this wonderful lady my Aunt June!  
She called me Cilla!  Going to her house as a child was like going to Disneyland, she always made me feel so special; I was always made to feel so comfortable there!  She was the best cook, her mile high pies, were the best I have ever had, never had one that came close.
Every time I make a pie, I always think of Aunt June, wondering how she go these pies do high.
Her hugs & love were the best there was, no way you were getting out of her house without a million hugs and a belly full of her wonderful food!
I loved her dearly and I will miss her always!
I find peace knowing she is now in the hands God. 
No more pain!
I will cherish all the wonderful memories I have of my Aunt June.
Thank you Aunt June for loving me and all I learned from you!
You will always live in my Heart!

To my Mother, I thank you!
Thank you for giving me life, for loving me throughout the years, thank you for the all love and care you gave my boys, my daddy, Sammie,  and our entire family!  
I have so many fond memories of my mother, mostly her friendship, she was always there when I needed a shoulder to lean on, or to cry on, I loved just sitting next to her with my head on her shoulder, always gave me so much comfort.
If something was going on in my life, even when I told myself I would not say anything to her and try to hide behind a smile, the second I walked in the door, she would look at me and ask what is going on, I would say nothing, before I knew it I would be telling her everything.
My mother listened to me in good times and the bad, through it all, I would always turn to her just to talk about all the things that were going on in my life, did not matter if it was work, kids, relationships, we could talk about everything!
I loved watching my dad as he was so protective of her, even more so after their 60 years of marriage, if you ever any doubt of their love for one another, then I would see the love they shared and how dad was so concerned about her, there was no doubt they truly loved one another.
Mom was so good at making sure we always had good home cooked comfort food!  Whistling or singing around the house, playing Dean Martin all those oldies, all of the special days, holidays will forever be a remembrance of my mother.
As mom got older, I tried to take on more responsibility, as she got weaker I tried to help even more!
A week ago Monday, after more than three weeks in the hospital and a few days in rehab, she looked at me and asked me to take her home, she said You will make it happen, then she looked at me with her beautiful smile, a sparkle in her eyes and gave me her famous wink.
A few days later, I did bring her home; she spent her last few days in the comfort of her home.
Did she know she was going to leave us, she did not say, we will never know, I find some comfort in knowing she wanted to be home and that I did make it happen!
I was able to spend a lot of time with her over the last month, she loved the Bear Hugs, I would tell her to give me a bear hug so that I could help her up and down.
She would say I love those bear hugs, I too loved those hugs!  Mom, I could use a few right now!
She took care of me when I was young and I tried my best to be there for her when she needed me the most.
I will forever treasure all of the years I was given to spend with her!  I was certainly not ready for you to leave me this day!
Mom taught me so much, the one thing she did not teach me is how to live without her, does not seem real that she has left us here, my heart is breaking with every breath I take.
I will forever treasure all of the years I was given to spend with her!  Life as I knew it, will never be the same!

"Mom", today we went to visit your resting place.  Your head stone marker was just added, it is so Beautiful Just Like You! There is not a day that goes by without so many thoughts and memories of you.  We had dad's birthday and Thanksgiving, wow, that was hard times being without you!  Still seems like a dream that you are not here, I miss you "My mother, my friend".  I will hold you close in my heart forever!  I am doing my best to look after dad, I worry so much, I know he is lost without you!  He misses you like crazy and it hurts so much when he gets emotional...I love you mom!

Hard day today, missing you everyday!  Love you mom!

Let this "Candle" give you light, keep you warm and to be an everlasting memory of our love for you!  We miss you and love you so much!

It has been two weeks today since you passed away, I am so heart broken, I think it more each day as it becomes more reality that I cannot talk to you, my mom, best friend!  I miss you more each day!
