Danny Joe Wright, born November 12th, 1932 passed away at the age of 92 on January 16, 2025. Danny will be greatly missed by those who knew him. On May 10th, 1950 Danny enlisted into the US Army fighting for the freedom of our country, serving in the Korean War until his discharge on August 20th, 1957. During his many years of service Danny became a decorated member receiving a Purple Heart, a United Nations Service Medal, a Korean Service Medal with 1 bronze star, a Combat Infantryman Badge, along with a National Defense Service Medal. Danny married Edna Wright, and together they became parents to 4 children. Danny is now a grandfather of 11, a great-grandfather of 8, and a great great grandfather of 1. Danny was a an active deer hunter, a lover of Dachshund Dogs and an exceptional landscape gardener. Danny had a big love of gardening, anything he touched would grow, and his home was constantly filled with plants. Later in his life Danny became a fourth degree knight in the Knights of Columbus, one of the oldest orders in the Catholic Church. Throughout the years Danny mentored many young men, becoming a person of respect and loved by all those who met him.
