Scott played such a huge role in my life when I first moved to California.  I always remember his deep laugh, his bigger than life personality, and his penchant for getting in trouble with that truck of his.  In high school, we both got stopped by the local police in the same week for "lighting them up" (spinning our tires).  Scott was so mad because I, being a girl, got a warning because I told the cop that I was new to driving a stick shift and didn't realize what I was doing (not quite the WHOLE truth).  Poor Scott got the book thrown at him.  Even though I hadn't seen Scott and the family in over 20 years, you all hold a deep part of my heart and memories.  Love you and praying for you.

Cristy, my heart goes out to you and the girls.  I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to know your family all these years. Who would of thought that signing my girls up for Girl Scouts would result in a wonderful friendship that we have today. Scott is always in our hearts.

Jeanette and David, I am so sorry to hear about Scott. This is a total shock. He was such a great guy! I'm happy for him, but sad for you all. His wife and children. I know you are a strong family and will make it through. You have Jesus. Losing a child has to be the worse! Our family broke down and fell apart after my brother died...May Jesus wrap his love around each one of you, I love you all so much, your family was always such an inspiration to me. So faithful to God and each other and people can see that in the Stearns family! I love you all!

I am at a loss of words.  I attended school with Scott since kindergarten.  Although I haven't seen him in many years, we shared a lot of childhood friends and memories.  To his family, I am so sorry for your loss may you find peace and comfort in your good memories.  RIP Scott
