Doris Mabel Dodd

Doris was born in Modesto, CA, on October 19, 1931, to Barney and Mabel Toepfer, as the second of six children and was raised on a small farm on the outskirts of town. She married her first husband, Calvin S. Partridge, in 1950. They had four children together and finished raising them in Modesto. Several years later, she met and married Andre Dodd, and she continued living in that same home, which she so enjoyed, for 60 years. Doris was a devoted mother and homemaker. She loved cooking, gardening, and pruning her large yards. She led scout troops and church groups. She was the family historian and documented their lives in photo albums, family trees, and all pertinent information. Her door was always open to family and friends, who came frequently for counsel, fellowship, food, and fun.

Doris is survived by her husband, Andre Dodd; children, Sharon Rosa, Jeannette Stahl, Clifford Partridge, and David Partridge; and stepdaughters Kathy Shramke and Sandy Lawrence. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Her siblings are Bernard Toeper (deceased), Marilyn Dodd, James Toepfer, Joyce Wilcox, and Frances Baker.
