Doris Evelyn Renfrow

Doris Evelyn Renfrow, a lifelong resident of Modesto, California, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at the age of 72.

Doris was born and raised in Modesto, where she built a life rooted in love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community. She worked for many years as a Bakery and Deli Clerk, bringing warmth and care to everyone she served. Her passion for cooking and reading was matched only by the joy she found in spending time with her loved ones.

Known for her generous spirit and nurturing heart, Doris was the kind of person who always put others first. She was a devoted mother to three children, a proud grandmother to five, and a cherished great-grandmother to two. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she created.

Doris is survived by her children, Michael Renfrow, Cynthia Renfrow, Mary Gipson; Daughter in Law Cindy Renfrow; her siblings, Robert Gipson, David Gipson, Thomas Gipson; her grandchildren, Samuel, Katelyn Renfrow, Madalyn Renfrow, Noah Renfrow, Jeremiah Renfrow, Jacob Gitmed; and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin Renfrow, and Abigail Renfrow. She was preceded in death by Hazel Gipson and Nathan Gipson.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. All who knew and loved Doris are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

Though she has left this world too soon, Doris will forever remain in our hearts.
