Doris Rachel Smith, 87 of Riverbank passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 in Oakdale. She was born in Oklahoma on January 10, 1928 to Alfred and Dorothy Robertson. She had a brother James who passed away at a young age. She will be reunited with her loving husband, Sherman Burney Smith; they were married 58 years. They were active members of the Nazarene Church. They loved to go camping and travel. In her spare time, you could always find her reading and spending time with her family. She worked many years for the county as a librarian, she loved to help people.
Doris leaves behind her sister Dorene Snow of Visalia, her sons and their wives Gary and Gayle of Mariposa, Terry and Bobbi of Riverbank, 4 grandchildren James, Justin, Kord, and Kelly, 5 great grandchildren Krystal, Chad, Sydni, Ryder and Abigail and 1 great great grandchild Braxton.
Funeral Services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson. Viewing is Thursday, January 15th from 4-8PM A Graveside Service is Friday, January 16th at 11AM.
