February 21, 1960-February 4, 2015 Doug Carlton, 54, unexpectedly passed away on February 4th. He was born February 21, 1960, at Mercy hospital in Sacramento California. His family moved to various places, settling in Modesto. Doug graduated from Modesto high school, class of 1978. At age 14 Doug began racing motorcycles, this was his greatest passion. In January of 1985 Doug began working for Market wholesale, (which later became Unified Grocers), after recieving a CDL, he drove truck for them the rest of his career. Doug developed many close relationships all around Northern California during his 28 year career. Doug retired at 53, in January of 2013. He has enjoyed traveling and visiting with his family and friends, especially getting closer with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Douglas William Carlton, and is survived by his mother Sharon Ormonde, sister Terri Bettencourt, two sons Doug Carlton, and Darren Carlton, his daughter Morgan Carlton, and two grandchildren, Kaidan Carlton, and Benjamin Barajas. Services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson CA. Saturday, February 14, at 11:00 A.M.
