Upon returning from his military service, he married his “Princess”, Arleen Buck. He worked for 30 years with the Federal Govt., the majority of that time with the U.S. Postal Service at the Ceres Post Office.
He was a member of the Air Force Gunners Assoc. & the 391st Bomb Group Assoc. He was a member of a Barber Shop Quartet, enjoyed playing the piano and organ, and traveling with his wife in their motorhome.
Duryea is survived by his wife of 72 years, Arleen (Buck) Warn. Two sons, Steven D. Warn (Dianne) and Jeff L. Warn (Robin). He was preceded in death by a son, Richard N. Warn.
He is also survived by a brother, Dale W. Warn of Turlock, CA. He had 8 grandchildren, Suvi Kroeker (Vic), Amber Gomes-Barajas (Martin), Aaron Warn (Melissa), David Warn, Aimee Neto (Joey), Elizabeth Warn, Nathan Warn (Meg), and Jeffrey Warn, II (Fiancé Bibi Borlish). 8 Great-grandchildren, Tyler Brenning (Morgan Welsh), Kyle Kroeker, Mikayla Kroeker, Joey Neto, Jr., Raquel Warn, Aubree Warn, Miriam Warn, and Theodore Warn. Also, many friends in this small community.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Heritage Chapel - Lakewood Memorial Park & Funeral Home, on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that contributions be made to the Alexander Cohen Hospice House Hughson, CA.- Community Hospice.
