
Elizabeth Elvina Lang, born on December 5, 1931, in Modesto, California, passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 94. Elizabeth was the youngest of five children born to William G. and Mary L. Poulos. She spent her entire life in Modesto, California, where she was lovingly cared for by those at Bethel Assisted Living and Community Hospice.
Elizabeth attended Modesto High School and, in 1949, married Richard T. Lang. Together, they had four children. Elizabeth began her career at Stanislaus Food Products in 1953 and worked there until her retirement in the 1980s. In their retirement years, Elizabeth and Richard enjoyed traveling the world, sharing many adventures together. Elizabeth had a passion for shopping and entertaining her friends, always ready for an adventure at a moment's notice.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, William R. Lang, Richard K. Lang, and Deborah L. Woodward, as well as her grandchildren Amanda Wright, Lindsey Gracon, Jonathan, Joshua, Zachary Woodward, and Emily Gibelyou. She leaves behind a legacy of 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard T. Lang, her daughter Kimberly A. Lang, her parents William and Mary Poulos, and her siblings Barbara Karker, Katherine Hoffman, Roy Poulos, and Mary Lind.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice at hospiceheart.org/foundation.
