Ernest Lopez, Jr. age 47, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma. Ernie was born January 25, 1971, in Hayward, CA to Ernest and Camille Lopez Sr.
He was a graduate of Davis High School in 1989. He married Erica Henson Lopez in August 10, 2002 in CA. Ernie was active duty in the United States Navy for 18 years. At the time of his death he was an E-7 Chief Petty Officer stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. He had a profound love for his country, family and friends. He had an uncanny ability to teach and mentor his younger sailors.
Ernie loved fishing, taco trucks, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Jeeping in the hills.
He is survived by his wife Erica Lopez, parents Ernest and Camille Lopez Sr., son Joshua Scott, daughter Carsyn Lopez, sister Michelle Watt, niece Laura Combs and three grandchildren.
