Freeman "Shorty" Devon Pope passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Hughson, California. He was born in Oklahoma. Freeman proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Laffoon, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 3 brothers, Otto Pope, Ray Dean Pope and Leonard Pope and is preceded in death by his 2 sons, Norman Pope and Marty Pope, and a brother, Dewayne Pope.
A Graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, on Friday May 2nd at 1:00pm. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
