Gregory Allen Serpa

Gregory Allen Serpa April 18, 1953 – January 29, 2017 Greg went home to Jesus and the loving arms of his mommy at the age of 63. Greg was born in Ceres, California to the proud parents of Alvin and Sharon Serpa. Greg grew up in Hughson and graduated from Hughson High School with the class of 1971.Greg was active in the Hughson Swim Club and Hughson 4H Club. While in high school he was on the wrestling & football teams and an active member of the FFA Club showing prized Hereford steers at local fairs. On December 23, 1972, Greg was involved in an auto accident that left him mentally and physically handicapped. His mother, Sharon, devoted her life to nurturing and healing her son to eventually lead a productive adult life. After his recovery, Greg lived in independent care facilities and worked for Goodwill Industries and Howard Care Training Center. He looked forward to spending every weekend home with his loving family & friends. Gregs final 9 years were spent at Brandel Manor in Turlock where he was, "Mr. Brandel" the official greeter to all who entered the facility. A special thanks to his extended loving family at Brandel Manor where he was adored, loved, and received excellent care. Greg is survived by his sister, Jahn Serpa Grissom (Billy), his nephew Brian Wallace and many relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to: Salvation Army, P.O.
