

Kenneth (as he was always called) was born in St. Louis, OK, to parents John William and Nettie Mae Clark McGee. He was the first of 3 children. He was predeceased by infant sister, Norma Lee and both parents. Kenneth is survived by ex wife, Lavon Unsell McGee, daughters, Cari Cooper and Sherrie (Mike) Smith, grandchildren, Andrea Marlow, Jacob Smith, Adam Cooper, Ciara Cates, Ashley Cooper-Graham, Alex Cooper, great grandchildren, Chloe, Hailey, Grayson, Kelly, Caleb, sister Sonja McGee (Harry) Holton, nieces and nephews, Julie Holton (Mark) Jordan, Chris Holton, Marcia Holton (Mike) Duso and Lesley Holton. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army, stationed in the Philippines, during WW2. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He then attended Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. While there, he met his future wife, Lavon Unsell. They exchanged their wedding vows on June 18, 1948. He worked for many years as a manager of auto parts stores, first in Texas and then in San Jose, CA. Kenneth loved to travel and take photographs to share with family and friends upon his return. For a large number of years, he would make a yearly trip each fall back to his old home town of Tuttle, OK and visit with family and attend the annual "town reunion", where he would reconnect with old classmates, friends and relatives. After he retired, Kenneth moved from San Jose to Empire and bought the house that had been built by his Uncle Walter Clark in the 1940's. It had always been owned and occupied by a family member, and it still is. In 2003, He moved to Parkwood Christian Estates in Modesto, CA and resided there at the time of his death. Services for Kenneth will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013. A Visitation will be from 12:30 - 1:30 pm immediately followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00 pm. Both at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA.
